StylSpot

Logo design for a new street style fashion app

StylSpot approached me to create a logo for their new street style fashion app. I always aim to start with pen to paper – in this case digi pen to pad – and ended up recreating it with borrowed kids chalk to see how it would look on the street. Essentially, testing it in the landscape where it would live. The result is a logo that depicts the world of fashion where self-expression is celebrated and style is earned; crowned.

This project combines my passions in design, art and photography. The resulting logo is on-brief and more artsy than the client imagined it could be:

Balances structure with edge.

Not explicitly fashion-centric—the logo should hint at style, not depict it.

Everyday life. People you pass by. No polish, no perfection.

Outfits as expression: Everyday clothes worn proudly.

Confidence and feeling: A visual mood, not material luxury.

Individuality: The idiosyncratic nature of personal style.

Abstract: Nods to silhouettes, character, expression—not literal clothing items.

Sarah was incredible to work with. After multiple attempts with other designers, I was hesitant to contract out StylSpot’s logo again - past experiences often required too much context or lacked empathy for the market we were designing for. With Sarah, those doubts disappeared almost immediately. She listened openly to my opinions, yet never held back from sharing new perspectives, which made the process collaborative and inspiring.

One of Sarah’s standout skills is her ability to balance creativity with rationality. That balance gave me confidence to step back and give her more autonomy, knowing she would deliver something thoughtful and on-brief. She was also highly flexible and responsive - essential qualities for a fast-moving startup. Sarah often went above and beyond, even meeting outside of standard hours to keep momentum and providing meaningful feedback on the app’s user experience.

The end result is a logo that exceeded my expectations - confident, authentic, and perfectly aligned with StylSpot’s vision. Sarah brought equal parts artistry, professionalism, and empathy to this project.
